Lyte Records is excited and honoured to release this debut album by one of Ireland's most experienced and accomplished classical pianists. Derry-born Ruth McGinley won the piano final of the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition in 1994 and went on to study at the Royal Academy in London. She has performed as a soloist with the BBC Philharmonic, the London Mozart Players, the National Symphony Orchestra, the RTE Concert Orchestra and the Ulster Orchestra, and as a recitalist throughout UK, Europe and the Middle East. Her debut solo album Reconnection features some of her favourite piano music, from classical through to jazz and folk. Already picked up by BBC Radio 3, Classic FM and RTE Lyric FM, it marks the beginning of a new chapter in her career as solo artist.
