London saxophonist Tom Harrison has maintained an impressive schedule as a sideman and leader, working with artists such as Jean Toussaint, Cleveland Watkiss, Heather Small and David Lyttle, and recently playing at the London Jazz Festival's 'Saxophone Summit' alongside Jean Toussaint and Pete King. His debut album Unfolding In Tempo features the music of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn and was recorded live at Pizza Express, London, and The Everyman, Cheltenham, last February. The Cardiff born rising star's all-star cast features UK vocal icon Cleveland Watkiss, pianist and Steinway artist Robert Mitchell, in-demand young bassist Daniel Casimir and drummer David Lyttle, a regular collaborator who was nominated for a MOBO Award 2015.

Following live dates and high praise from Jazzwise and All About Jazz, and radio play on Jazz FM, the album has been reviewed by BBC Music Magazine's Garry Booth.

"Records like this don't come along too often...Leader Tom Harrison's confidently uninhibited wailing on alto reflects his three years engrossed in and performing Ellingtonia. His tender solo take on 'Warm Valley' brings closure to a stormy, no holds barred live set."
